Te Puke to Tauranga
Road Race / Relay

The course starts at the corner of Te Puke Quarry Road & State Highway 2. Gently undulating seal for 2.4km before commencing a climb to Upper Papamoa Road and the Summit at 6.4km (also Lap 1 Relay Change).Its flat easy running for another 600m before steady downhill to the Lap 2 Relay Change at 11.9km.on Rocky Cutting Road. Out of Rocky Cutting Road the course undulates along Welcome Bay Road to the finish at Welcome Bay tavern (19km). The course is sealed except for the middle section from 4.2km to 10.5km. This is not a course which will achieve a fast time, however it is very scenic and physically challenging.
A three member relay event will be run in conjunction with the main event. No member to run more than one lap or be part of the individual race. Walkers are welcome to compete in the relay.
Race numbers and late entries will be available from 7.30 -8.15am On Race day at the start area.
Prize-giving and a post-race get-together with "nibbles" will be held at the Welcome Bay Tavern at approx. 11.15am.
Entries close one week prior to the race. A late fee of $5 for individuals and $10 per Team entry will be strictly enforced after this date.
